San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick used a photo of the devastating flooding in Houston as the backdrop for this message: “I warned you the #7tormsComing,” with a #Houston hashtag.

This round of storms has killed at least 10 people in Texas, with at least another dozen missing.

Instagram users posted comments on the photo urging Kaepernick to “take it down” and wondering if the account had been hacked.

Colin Kaepernick’s hashtag of choice is #7tormsComing, which is a horrible sentence to write. The 49ers QB decided to use it again today with the Houston flash floods as a news peg, along with a photo of some local devastation.

And then Kaepernick applied the foam to the faux pas by following the Houston tweet with a shirtless photo of himself and this kernel of random inspiration: “Just livin! #WhoDoYouLove #IDontGetTired.”

Shouldn't he be locked in a room at 49ers facility breaking down tape of their upcoming 2015 opponents?

Not too many NFL franchises want their inked up franchise QB causing a stir on social media - he could give the beefus a run for her money with lame hashtags and inappropriate tweets.

Niner fans better hope that Kap's work with Kurt Warner will improve his passing skills this year.

Not a big deal. He is just a young dope making a young dopes comments. There are plenty of NFL players who actually do (not say) things that people can be angry at.

He wasn't too bright to put that out there though. I don't got an issue with it but people will be "outraged".....until the next "outrage" comes along.

What he and the Niners should just do is ignore it totally. It will blow over.

Kaep signed a 7 year, 126M contract that was an extremely team friendly deal... essentially, 2 yrs/28M, pay as you go. If he doesn't produce on the field this year, SF could easily move on. Working in the "7torm"(what a gay nickname)'s favor is that it might be getting tougher to draft a QB in upcoming years.. Some of the "experts" are speculating QBs are going to be really hard to come by, somewhat of a QB drought.

Alex Smith was a great fit for SF.. I bet they wouldn't mind having him back at this point, Kaepernick had a really bad year last year.

The Niners are reportedly concerned over their inability to monitor Kaepernick's offseason workouts.

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick spent this offseason working out with former Super Bowl-winning signal-caller and part-time NFL analyst Kurt Warner, something about which the Niners organization is largely positive.

Kaepernick, still just 27, had something of a down year last season despite posting career-highs in completions (289) and yards (3,369). He also finished 2014 with the lowest QBR (55.9) and the most interceptions (10) of his four-year NFL career.

The fact that he sought out a guy uniquely qualified to offer advice on what it takes to succeed at the professional level in Warner, is a good thing and could potentially prove beneficial to his remaining career.

Still, while new Niners head coach Jim Tomsula and GM Trent Baalke are happy with Kaepernick's choice, they reportedly hold concerns over another aspect of his offseason work.

"Their concern was, while Kaepernick was working out and doing due diligence, they weren't part of that process. They were not able to observe those workouts because the collective bargaining agreement specifically prohibits teams from working with players during the offseason," Jason Cole of Bleacher Report reports.

"Now, the questions is, can Kaepernick carry whatever he was working with down in Arizona into the regular season to fix his mechanics, fix his ability to read the field and will the 49ers coaching staff know how to work with him based on all of that training?"

I think the rest of the league just figured his ass out, just like every other running QB in history.
