A lie told often enough becomes truth. He's trying to hitch his wagon to the sharknado phenom.

I don't listen, so it don't know the context. But it wouldn't surprise me if Howard thinks this is some phenomenon that the youth embraced. So maybe this is his way of trying to establish a connection to youth/pop culture? And he doesn't realize that the movie was essential a flop with a short-lived hipster buzz.

    That'd be hilarious!

Rumor is that he's sitting on a Gangnam Style spoof about Robin's big, hot, brown black titties. Just thinking about it makes me giggle like a school girl (Their might even be a line a about "goo"!)

That's what Howard does - he's not relevant enough to make news so he tries to attach himself to some current story and get attention that way. By constantly mentioning Sharknado he's trying to take credit for it's popularity and he already tried to claim the high ratings of the rerun had something to do with him. It's similar to the Charlie Sheen story a while ago when Howard suddenly wanted to give him a show and let him rant about his dispute with CBS.

:winner: That seems to be all he does lately is tries to co-opt shit that's already going on and keeps repeating over and over he had something to do with it. Just like he desperately wanted chubby teenmom in quickly to talk about texting with anthony weiner, in the desperate hope it generated some hype in the papers next day or she said something outrageous that he could take credit for - or just play the soundbytes from the entertainment shows and bitch that he didn't get credit as if it was of some profound and unfolding importance.

It's enough to make you sick especially if you actually used to like this hyper neurotic shell of a former self. He's like one of those suckfish, having to find relevance or subtance in everything else because he no longer creates it himself.

I see it as a lack of actual comedy talent on the show. Howard no longer has any decent writers. So he repeated goes to an easy and identifiable comedic meme.
