i am fascinated by visual effects, and love being reminded how often I am fooled by them. This is some awesome shit here... No need to suspend your disbelief, if you never question what you see!

They do this kind of stuff all the time, particularly when the commercial has to be shot 3-4 months before the cars are actually coming off the assembly line. The car you see in the spot is most likely not a real store-bought car anyway -- it would be a prototype. Now, it's just CGI. There's a lotta smoke & mirrors in that business.

I do photo-realistic renderings at work. Virtual reality is where it is all heading.

After 27 years, this could be a marriage saver.....we would each put on a headset with a VR version of our 1985 selves then climb into bed.

Curing any disease, let alone one that occurs at the genetic level, is a lot more challenging than constructing a Hollywood special effect.

They created a car commercial featuring J-Lo without actually using J-Lo. They used a double for her. This was back when she was the face of Fiat

I don't know, I would think if you developed a drug that cured cancer, that would earn a pretty penny!
