Apparent active shooter reported at Alpine High School
ALPINE -- All schools and administration in Alpine are under critical lockdown after reports of a shooting.
Alpine Police Department confirms that there is an active shooter at Alpine High School.
Alpine ISD confirms that all schools and administration buildings are in critical lockdown Thursday morning.
High school students will be released as soon as the all clear is given from the Jehovah's Witness church, according to the Alpine Avalanche.
Isnt this the second day of school? These guys must have waited all summer to do this. Hopefully it wont be another columbine.

Las Vegas Fire and Rescue on Wednesday reported a hazmat situation was being investigated at a Las Vegas middle school.
A hazmat crew was sent to Walter Johnson Junior High School, located at 7701 Ducharme Ave., near Buffalo and Alta drives, after noon.
The department said that no students were threatened and the crew was surveying the situation.
According to Clark County School District spokeswoman Melinda Malone, students and staff potentially exposed to the substance were being quarantined as a precaution. In addition, she said parts of the school, including the gym, have been temporarily closed off.
Still, Malone said, the school day was going on as usual.

Elizabeth Carter, a lieutenant at the Texas Department of Public Safety, confirmed that someone brought a gun onto the Alpine High School campus on Thursday morning.
