If I had a friend who spent hours a day on a website and message board devoted to a has-been radio star I would think they were a total asshole and douchebag.

Do other Saloon members tell friends and family what they do all night on the internet.

What makes us any different / better than the millions of assholes who sit at their computer and discuss Ryan Seacrest, Lady Gaga or Justin Bieber

I would only be embarrassed if you were shooting for a mascot angle.

We have Dawg. And there is a guy that thinks he is the roadrunner from the cartoons. And another fellow that thinks he is a fish.

Those guys are cool enough, but if you aim to create another mascot - it might not work out for you.

Ugggghh that shit is SOOOOOOO 2004! I'm proud of the membership on here, some sharp dudes and broads on here in many instances more convivial than peopleI know in person.

I wasn't even embarrassed about being on SFN or a premium member at lancebass.com.

No ulterior motive - I have too much of an inferiority complex to think something like that.

    Is that better or worse

I used to think that way. I just enjoy the mindset of Howard Stern fans. Very witty, sarcastic smart, funny mother fuckers on this site.

Surely the Seacrest and Lance Bass fans think the same thing.

people sit for hours in front of the television nightly and think nothing of it.

this place makes me laugh. period.

and that, my napoleonic rodent friend, is priceless.

This explains it for me. People that were Howard fans back in the day are going to find allot of the same things interesting or funny. Nerd said something very similar to me one time.

I suppose this site is funnier - I always find negative humour funnier than the positive and I can't imagine Seacrest.com and Lancebass.com being a barrel of laughs.

Seacrest refuses to link to Bass site so I just stick to the Bassman. His "bath-house room" is where it really goes down. Seacrest doesn't provide enough towel snapping content so I let my subcr run out.

Nah, for me Howard is way down the list for being here now. Fun to poke at him but this community stands on it's own. I hated the vibe at that other place even before the big mess. The old timers here welcomed all of us newcomers. Dawg and the staff have been very cool.

Ahahhahhaha I LOVE that line all the time, NEVER gets old!! I love when Adam Carolla has Mr.Skin on and waxing on about like some side boobage with Rosario Dawson and when he finishes Adam goes "AHHHH MR. SKIN TRULY DOING THE LORD'S WORK!"

Exactly, now way funnier than the actual Howard Stern show which isn't hard these days.
