My pet peeve of the day

That hard plastic that it seems nowadays everything is packaged in.....You can't open anything anymore without a sharp pair of scissors or a sharp knofe...And when you finally do get it open, the plastic is as sharp as said knife or scissors usually ending up with blood dripping out of you

    Yes.

What does that have to do with the eco-unfriendly and dangerous blister packing?

I wonder how many trips to the ER happen on Christmas morning because of injuries from that damn plastic. "Here's your blood covered toy, honey!"

That's probably because of that tylenol thing in the 80's. That changed everything.

And why don't cereal boxes come with toys anymore? I'm betting lawyers fucked that up for everyone too.

An old boss of mine said that he hoped that packagers went to packager-hell, where they had to sit & open the packages they designed, all, day, long .....

Just clamp on to the package edge with a manual can opener. It'll cut through and "track" along the shape of the package. Opens it up like a clamshell.

My issue is with those large bulk rolls of thin packaging tape where inevitably, after you snip your piece off, if you're not ultra-careful, the remant from which you cut, adheres back onto the roll permanently, making it virtually impossible to separate for reuse.
