Who used to LOVE when guitar legend Leslie West used to frequent the show on 92.3 K ROCK in NY in the 1980s?

Leslie is Howard Stern's favorite guitarist. He's still playing, and amazing audiences some 50 YEARS after first played for the Vagrants in the mid 1960s. WOODSTOCK was Mountain's 3rd gig.

Leslie manned the Les Paul Jr guitar which he made famous, along with Felix Pappalardi on bass (Creams' producer), Corky Laing on drums and Steve Knight on keys.

Songs they are known for are such classics as MISSISSIPPI QUEEN, NANTUCKET SLEIGH RIDE, THEME FROM AN IMAGINARY WESTERN.

Leslie West has earned the nickname fans have given him in recent years -- "the King of Tone" as his guitar tone must be heard to be believed. Whatever he plays sounds amazing.

So what do you say Howard Stern fans? How bout we kick Madonna and the rap guys to the curb (What the hell are they doing in the RRHOF???) and VOTE LESLIE WEST & MOUNTAIN INTO the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame!? :)

Since Abba is in, I say induct any band that has released at least two albums.

Yes. Mountain live had such an incredible sound--it was right around the time of Black Sabbath and can easily be traced to the lineage of all the great grunge bands of the late 80s. They were more influential than they'll ever be credited for.

According to rock historian and former buyer of music albums Wig Vomit, if they would've allowed their performance to be in the Woodstock movie they would've been the biggest, most famous rock band of all time.

No, they don't deserve to be in. You know who deserves to be in? LL Cool J. He is just as important and influential as previously inducted Rock and Roll icons like N.W.A, RUN-DMC, and the Beatles.

    LOL.

If Madonna's in, it really doesn't matter does it? What's Rock and Roll about her?

Anyone who cares about the farce that is the Rock and Roll HOF should get a turn extracting Jann Wenner's nut butter with their mouth.

Even if you think Mountain belongs, petitions don't mean shit to the Hall. Wenner and his cronies control it.

Grand Funk Railroad isn't in either. By now, no one should give any validity to the Hall as anything other than a Jann Wenner vanity oriject

I wore a hole in the Closer to Home album playing it so much. They kind of jumped the shark IMO when they added Craig Frost to the line up. Don Brewer turned out to be a total douche though, completely screwed Mark over.

Isn't Mountain like a footnote in rock history? A one hit wonder like T. Rex or Ten years after?
