It doesn't matter if you have a private, unlisted or cellphone number these scammers will find your number. Every fucking day. You never know if someone you do business with is trying to call or it's a scam call. When you Google the number there is a scammer board with complaints of people who were called by the same number. It doesn't matter if you are on a Do Not Call list. These people have unlimited numbers to call you with. By sequencing every exchange and calling every number the software will eventually hit on your number. The companies can't be shutdown because most of them are based offshore. You can block the numbers that call you today but tomorrow you'll get calls from new numbers. Verizon and AT&T could give a shit. They sell phone service to everybody and don't care a fucking bit if it's a legitimate company or not. The scammers use spoofers to change the number they call from. Even if you had a software program or App where the person calling would have to press a number to ring your phone it would do you no good. Doctor's offices use automated calls to remind you of appointments. My mail order pharmacy uses an automated call to let me know my RX has been shipped. I don't want those calls rejected.

I can't remember how I did it, but any robo call rings once and is cut off. I heard about it on TV a couple years ago and it works like a charm.

Dont you have a phone that tells you who is calling before you answer?
When I get a shit call, I let it ring 6times and then my answering machine gets it.
That way it costs them time and the cost of the call

Obviously, but I get scam calls from the city I used to live in, you never know if it's a friend with new cellphone number. I screen every call unless I know who is calling and let the others go to voicemail. It's still annoying as shit when your waiting for a call and your cellphone rings and it's some bullshit scammer.

That's what happens when you freely give out your information on the internet. All the major internet companies have tried to tie your phone number to your accounts 'to help verify you in case you lose the password to your account', and people like you believe them. I never do this, and I don't get any of these calls.

The only bullshit calls I ever get are wrong numbers...those bastards, in this day and age, need to be stoned to death.

Call screening. If they don't pop up as a contact, it goes to voice mail.

I got a call from the IRS. Saying I owed them money and if I didn't pay up, I'd be arrested. Thanks Obama.

I just checked that out and it doesn't seem to be working. Whenever an unknown number calls me and doesn't leave a voicemail, I add it to my call block app, which must contain hundreds of numbers by now.

Mega dildos on nomorobo. You have to set up simultaneous ring for it to work. So when a robot calls you hear a quick ring and then the call goes to the ether (which is like parts unknown for the wrestling fans).
