Sorry to be a bummer...but I only know how to talk about - what's on my mind. A friend of mine lost her 20 year old son this morning, and 2 other parents lost their young boys. http://www.simcoe.com/news/article/1564929--three-killed-in-crash-near-alliston Three killed in crash near Alliston Maija Hoggett photo 1 2 3 ALLISTON - UPDATED - Three people were found dead inside a car after it flipped over and crashed into a ditch this morning on the Adjala-Tecumseth Townline just south of Alliston. Police were notified about the crash around 8 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 13 after someone noticed the vehicle resting upside down in the water on the west side of the road just south of the 11th Line of New Tecumseth. Nottawasaga OPP Const. Kelly Daniels-Griffis said the car was heading southbound on the townline. The right rear tire struck the north side of a concrete bridge causing the car to rollover and land upside down in the west ditch. Daniels-Griffis declined to speculate if the people may have drowned inside the vehicle, but she confirmed all three were dead by the time emergency crews arrived on scene. She said the car was found resting in "pretty deep" water but it's still unknown how long the vehicle had been lying in the ditch. The victims were pronounced dead at the scene by the coroner and it's expected that post mortems will be held this week to determine the causes of death. Police are not releasing the names of the victims at this time. "We won't be releasing the names, ages or genders of the victims until next of kin can be notified," Daniels-Griffis said. Police will be spending the rest of the day piecing things together to determine the cause of the crash. The OPP's Technical Traffic Collision Investigation unit has been called in to assist with the investigation. Daniels-Griffis said more information could be made available tomorrow. It's expected the townline will remain closed at the 11th Line for the remainder of the day for the investigation. "We appreciate everyone's patience at this time," Daniels-Griffis added.
