At this point most of us have cancelled. I have lifetime sub on my iPhone. But the sound quality is ass. Just curious what everybody is using. I'm using Pandora One on all my Mac stuff.

    pandora.

the 't. rex channel' has a lot of great kinks, velvet underground, bowie, et al.

the 'wu tang' is also fantastic.

    Anything non-Sirius is better.
It's free, it's legal and there are more choices.

It's great not being stuck with the same repeated over and over Sirius music playlists.

I still have Sirius and listen to it a lot. I spend a ton of time driving and I hate streaming stuff on my phone while I'm on the road. It's annoying when you get a text or phone call or lose the cell signal. I also have a bunch of thumb drives loaded with mp3s that I can plug into my car stereo.
I pretty much have music playing 24 hours a day and Sirius has a pretty good selection as long as you keep switching channels and like a lot of different genres of music.

    I use four apps regularly.

MusicDock (Its better than the sirius app for lifetime)
    Pandora (Music)
TuneIn Radio (KMOX st louis station)
    SHOUTcast (Art Bell)

Wish there was a super app that did it all.

just to elaborate on my post, I don't know how big Spotify is in the US, but it took Europe by storm when it was exclusively launched here. Unlimited instant music streaming, playlist maker (finds songs it thinks you'll like), app that saves the music to your phone, so you can store hundreds if not thousands of songs and listen whenever..etc etc etc.

Anyways, Spotify, best and most ultimate music program ever.

Pandora and TuneIn Radio (where you can also listen to just about every major market sports talk station). Also often CNBC and Mike & Mike running in the background while working.

Pandora, on a droid, either head phones or speakers. Neil Young or Pink Floyd stations. I remember when howard went to sirius I tried to not subscribe and listen to other shit but after a month I couldn't stand it and came over. Now it's like sirius was a bad dream.

Haven't cancelled yet; my wife likes to have the music channels in the house. (So I still catch a few minutes of 100/101 here and there.) I switched to the Steve Dahl Show podcast, downloaded via iTunes and saved to a thumb drive, for my commute.

    Sirius XM KILLED THEMSELVES.

If they offered a subscription that included ALL THAT BOTH OF THE MERGED services offered for say 19.99 per month AND gave you a sub for 1 SAT RADIO and 1 INTERNET CONNECTION AT any given time with the subscription. They would have kicked ass....

Instead they nickled and dimed and made it impossible to quit. Pay as you go even with cards much like the pay as you go phones as well and I would have gone back.

I can never go back after the trauma of trying to quit once and what it took to do it. It was as bad as trying to clear a bad report on a credit report.

worse business model in the history of all business. and that is saying alot.

now with 4g and unlimited data on phones and fantastic free apps its just a matter of time before its over for the greedy jewish moguls of Manhattan.

Still have Sirius in my car (I have about twenty channels I rotate through), but at home/online, I use Pandora One. Will have to investigate this "Spotify" thing, though.

    Upon further review, fuck Spotify.

I had Sirius in my truck and my wife's car. I would listen on the way to work, then stream it online at work. Paid basically $20 a month for that, and IMO that was a fair price. One the merger hit, my bill to keep what I already had went up to almost $35. Fuck em. I canceled immediately. Got 6 free months, called back to cancel, they offered me another 6 months free and I said no, shut it down. Have never looked back.

If I could get NFL some other way, I would drop Sirius in a heart beat.
