It's karma for Sirius considering the year and a half of "eh-eh-eh" talk that CBS radio had to deal with.

Bet they would like to be paid by AGT for 3 hours of advertising every show.

Really why is he doing this to them and us?

I could see Howie referring to AGT as "eh-eh-eh" if Sirius gives him shit about it.

"Robin, this weekend I was in St. Louis for eh-eh-eh..."

Sirius shouldn't give a shit, once AGT starts they're gonna get plenty of payback with free advertising.

One big difference, is that fans were excited to hear "eh-eh-eh" because of the possibilities. I personally couldn't wait for it.

On the flip side, I cancelled my htv yesterday because it wasn't worth the price to pay for agt advertisements

Can Sirius technically file a counter lawsuit to this? I guess it depends on whether or not it was in the contract. I would like to think that if CBS gave him shit, Sirius technically could too. Unless there was something about this in the contract.

Sirius is so fucking out to lunch as a business it isn't funny. They actually think a Bruce Springsteen concert is a reward for loyal fans? What a joke. Sirius is nation wide. Springsteen is an East Coast thing. Howard should keep promoting AGT at everychance. It isn't any worse than the staged phone calls or phony anger at something Imus or Ronney has done or said.

As far as the AGT thing, Sirius couldn't give a shit. If they are pissed, it's about the lawsuit and Howard badmouthing them while they are paying him.

Sirius doesn't care what he does on his radio show. Sirius is not in direct competition with NBC television, so it doesn't hurt their interests at all. And by doing AGT it has put Howard in the news which is free advertising for Sirius. The more Howard is in the news, the better it is for Sirius.

Sirius probably erred if their contract with Howard allowed him to do "side jobs", especially since the logic of the 3 day weeks was that he wanted to scale back his career and enjoy home life more.

They were doubly dumb if they didn't include language to prohibit him from using his show to promote other companies' productions. Especially after he ended his terrestrial career doing the same thing, promoting Sirius for free.

This whole side job thing is really bad for Sirius, as if Howard is able to establish a TV gig that gives him a nice paycheck, some continued public exposure his ego needs, and a tremendously smaller workload, he has little incentive to not do whatever he can to get out of his current contract just to spite them due to his anger at not getting his extra pay for the XM members.

He leaves every relationship on bad terms, with everybody. Even when it isn't total war you can tell from his later comments and behaviors it's soured. There's no reason to expect this would be different.

If the AGT gig takes off and there isn't an advertising backlash/boycott from their middle American audience after finding out he's arranging porn gang bangs for whack packers the same week he's on their show, I predict he will not finish out the 5 years. But he's waiting to make sure that doesn't flop, first, as flopping or being forced off the show there followed by ending this contract early would be seen as failure.

All it will take is one tenacious reporter from a major outlet highlighting all the non-PC stuff he's done over the years (not nude lesbians, but the black dialect talking, religion bashing, and stuff like that) for a firestorm of controversy to possibly result in his not being back after one season.

My guess is the recent spate of lectures on gay marriage, racism, etc. are an attempt to reconstruct his image and appear "reformed" enough for mainstream audiences.
