So my complimentary Sirius subscription ran out the other day so I called Sirius to renew. After asking me a million questions about what I usually listen to, they put me on a "Mostly Music" package that included everything that I have on my main Sirius presets - except I no longer have 100 or 101. These are now "Unsubscribed Channels".

Question: Given how bad the show has become, do you think I should bother getting the channels put back?

You appear to have actually answered your question INSIDE your question.

How much did you pay? Just renewed my sub and after some haggling I paid 85 bucks for 12 months with free internet so I can listen on my iphone. If you paid more than that you got screwed.

I got a deal for $25 for 6 months. Includes horrible stern and fat ass robin. She's so annoying.

I was on a 5 month $25 plan plus Internet for $3/month. My 5 month plan was about to expire so I called and they offered Sirius and Internet for $45 for 5 months. I declined and cancelled. They ask for a reason for canceling so I told them I signed up primarily to listen to Stern, but the show has gotten progressively worse and worse to the point that I rarely listen any more. The rep asked if he can extend my membership for one month for free to see if the show will get better. I responded that I've been waiting and rash scribing for a couple years now hoping the same thing, but it's time to cut the cord.

So this will be my first time without the show on Sirius. If Howard announces his retirement, I would re subscribe for old times sake to be there for the end. But if Howard signs a new contract or moves to another pay service, I can't imagine how much worse the show will become. I keep thinking we hit rock bottom but it just keeps getting worse.

Wiggy hit rock bottom and started digging some time ago. Just download the show from the net if you want to torture your ears for a couple hours with the insane ramblings of the crotchety old lesbian aunt he has become.. or maybe just always was.

I'm paying like $11 per month but I'm going month to month so I can change anytime.

I could see paying for Sirius to listen to the other channels, but there's nothing on the Stern channels that's even worth the effort of signing up for a free trial.

That's like asking the man who just shot at you and missed, if you can reload his gun.
