Time for a break with Wiggy and I'm about ready to cancel.

I have a hefty personal data plan (30GB/month shared) and I'm only using a fraction of it.

Which streaming service do you listen to for music/talk radio/etc.?

Do you ever run into buffering issues? I'm on AT&T and where I live (SWFL) it's fine around town and on the highways.

I can switch over now by plugging into the Aux port of my car stereo, which would be same on any new car I purchase.

    Suggestions?

[Howard related because I'm throwing him in the trash can]

Depends on if you want to do something premium or not.

I use Amazon Music and love it.

Is that the same as a SIM card?

I have CDs but sometimes I like to have a radio-like experience - without all of the commercials.

Interesting. I am a Prime member but really don't do much with their music. I also subscribe to Google Play All Access and have used that for streaming from Sonos.

You'd think I'd realize that with an Android app I could do all the same stuff in my car.

Suggestions? Do they stream or do you download and play from your device. I realize I'm a total idiot with this despite more tech in my house that I can shake a stick at. SiriusXM made me lazy in the car.

I listen to podcasts all the time.

Just go thru the Itunes chart and pick out a few.

Carolla is a giant repeat anymore... PBS has some great ones... Planet Money... Freakonomics. etc
Tiny Desk Coffee Break Concert something something...has good acoustic sets from notable bands.

Podcasts, baby. On iOS you don' t have much choice but to use iTunes. On Android I recommend the Antennapod application. As to recommended shows: http://www.dawgshed.com/posts/8556655/

Can't help you with music, but all the streaming services are okay. Also, many podcast apps allow you to stream instead of download if you really want to. Welcome to freedom!

Get the RadioSure app (or IheartRadio or TuneIn) and you'll get thousands upon thousands of free streaming radio and internet stations.

Try Slacker Radio. It has a better selection than Pandora and the $5/month plan lets you cache your stations where you can listen offline. No buffering and no minutes against your data plan when you cache on Wifi.

I finally Figured out how to stream in my car through Bluetooth, from my phone or iPad, so pandora is my go to followed by spotify. Podcasts are amazing history of Rome, this American life, 99% invisible, etc
And THIS is why Sirius will go down in flames!

I second the Slacker Radio option. It's a pretty good service.

I like 102.5 the bone out of Tampa I think. It has a good line up of radio jocks that are actually entertaining to listen to. They have a radio app in the google play store. Not sure if they have an Apple app.
