My nearly 10 year old Panasonic plasma is ready to ride off into the sunset. I want to get a Plasma set, and soon because I'm not sure how much longer they will be manufactured. I have a Chromecast, which lets me mirror my tablet, phone and Laptop, Plasma without Smart TV technology are considerably less expensive. What say you of the Shed?

I also have a Blu Ray player with Netflix, Amazon Prime and Hulu.

If you have Chromecast I say no. If you didn't have Chromecast I'd say no and buy a Chromecast.

I vote no for no reason other than my TV is smart and I never utilize it because I'm not.

My PS4 seems to have less buffering than our smart TVs, though.

once I start a movie after it initially buffers it never does again on my PS4 but all 3 of our smart TVs will buffer a couple times during a 2 hour movie.

Not a real big deal I suppose.

between the Chromecast and Blu Ray, I don't need the Roku. I'm mirroring from my tablet now, there is a huge price difference

Agree with this, as long as you have good Wi-Fi where TV is going to be, Chromecast is all you really need. Especially because the apps built into TV's never get updated, whereas the apps on phones and tablets pretty much get it first.
