Back in the Day Howard Repeatedly Claimed that HE alone was responsible for Snapple Success.

    "I" believed him

2 Days ago I heard Rush Limbaugh taking Claim for Snapple Success
In 1988ish he Made "Snapple" the official Beverage of the show

Starts at about 5 Minutes (for some reason can't embed the youtube video) :dontknow:

At about 12:30 Rush also talks about the IMPORTANCE of an Audience

Disclaimer: I'm not a Rush Fan.

Limbaugh should be given all the credit. Snapple's nationwide marketshare exploded in the early 90s--simultaneous with Limbaugh's initial success. There's really no comparison--Limbaugh had a syndication deal that literally had his show broadcast in nearly every area of the USA.

No doubt that Howard sold some Snapple too, but back then Howard's show was still very regional. If you lived in Merced California, for example, you couldn't listen to Howard--but Rush was everywhere.

For the record, I'm not a Rush Limbaugh fan, although I appreciate what he accomplished as a broadcaster. You just have to give him credit where it is due. I'd give Howard credit too if it were appropriate--in this case it is not.

I would give Rush the credit but unlike Howard he didn't invent Snapple
