Funniest thing I've seen from SNL in probably 15 years. That fat kid who kind of looks like Artie is very funny.

Not as funny as the previous Star Wars audition sketches.

Very true.....but it's by far the funniest thing I've seen from SNL in a very long time.

Barely moves the needle on the funny meter, but the OP's statement is probably still true.

Bobby Moynihan as George Lucas was good.

Moynihan is like a lucid, non-self-destructive, talented version of Artie.

Moynihan is ok. I don't think he has the comic mind that artie had. The Artie of today is a shadow of what he was early on in his stern run.

When they did this in 97 with Kevin Spacey doing Jack Lemmon auditioning it was funny.
I always watch SNL and I average 1 chuckle every 3-4 episodes.

Landed with a thud. If not for Moynihan this thing completely crashes and burns.

Oh, and more Leslie Jones yelling... because yelling is funny.

I don't understand how they continue to feature her......if you need to fill a blaek quota I am sure there is a homeless man somewhere who is a lot funnier than she is.

Holy fuck that sucked. The only character that worked in this or the original was Kevin Spacey doing Christopher Walken.

The SNL audition sketches were funny because we actually knew the characters they were auditioning for. Who the fuck knows anything about the characters of the new film beyond Han Solo, Chewbacca, Leia, Luke, and the droids. This sketch is about two months too early.

Darrell Hammond doing Richard Dreyfus doing C3P0 was hilarious.

As was Streisand doing Leia, Mathau doing Obi Wan and Lemmon doing Chewbacca.
