    A teacher at the Groundlings in Los Angeles has accused Saturday Night Live of "stealing" a sketch idea that aired on Saturday's episode of the NBC variety series.

    Ian Gary took to his Facebook page early Monday (Oct. 6) to argue that a sketch about Tina Turner impersonators was actually a Groundlings idea. The Groundlings' version features Vanessa Ragland and Kimberly Condict, whileSNL's sketch featured host Sarah Silverman and castmembers Cecily Strongand Sasheer Zamata.

    The thing of it is, the Groundlings are where all the new fresh talent hone their craft, they would never dare to take on the juggernaut SNL in fear of getting blacklisted. But because SNL has become a black hole of talentless actors and writers and have no problem with ripping off anyone feel like, they should be called out. I'm sure Sliverman took as many notes as she could before doing the show, and these stolen bits were probably her "fresh cutting edge" contributions.

    The odd thing is they didn't bother to change much, they even used the red dress. The news said they even mentioned working on a riverboat in the same state. They just added another girl and changed the jokes basically. If you are gonna steal, just steal the idea and change it. use a different song or performer so it's not obvious.

    I want this incredibly unfunny show off the air.
    They should only run classic pre-G.W. Bush era shows.
    Chris Farley & Phil Hartman sketches for example.

    I enjoy Sarah Silverman but this past weekend was the worst and it was 99% her fault. There wasn't one funny sketch and her monologue was fucking horrific.

    He's got a higher ptiched voice than many women over the age of 45.

    Glad I skipped it...I've been saying this show is bad for a couple years now. The core problem here is the writing...it is just awful. No wonder all their talented performers have jumped ship. Lorne Michaels is another problem. They need to fire his ass and bring someone else in to get things back on track. Also, instead of having hosts that are on the show to plug their latest movie or TV show, they need to go back to having hosts that are not in show business. Back in the day they had political figures, athletes, a lot of comedians (Richard Pryor), etc...now they have people like Justin Beiber hosting it multiple times along with actors plugging their latest movie or TV show.

    More esoteric humor on my part, Beth69 said that he was the hottest comedian around right now.

    I'm either too thick to understand his humor, or he's not funny, I would venture to guess the latter.

    That was my impression.
    Dave had to give old timer Tom Dreesen a slot in the comedian's segment last night.
    I understand that Dreesen is a constant presence in Vegas but he made his bones opening for Sinatra. Bet he's got some great stories but he never tells them.

    I gave up, went to bed & fell asleep watching classic Looney Tunes.

    I'm pretty sure he owns the show. I've heard he is a bastard and cheap, they don't make much on that show, Also Dr. Evil is supposed to be based on him from the Austin Powers movies.

    Also Sarah Silverman did a Joan Rivers skit, and she fumbled her lines several times, and it was a roast with no good jokes.
