For 6 months the reception was fine in my new home. I got reception with the antanea inside the house . The snow falls, and its gone. So i spend 4 or 5 days in a row trying different positions on the window sill. Finally,it seems to pick up the signal, but only if I lift the blinds up,which lets the light in. Can`t these idiots come up with a better system than this? My computer is in another room,so listening online isn`t an option for my bedroom.

I only finally got consistently good reception is when I finally broke down and got one of those antenna extenders and mounted the thing outside pointing NW.

    No problems after that.

my phone is also very 2005. Not into Iphones ,blackberrys etc. I resist new technology,so I will just have to deal with it. I bought it for Stern, who is crap anyways. I do like other channels so i will keep it.

I should see if my retailer has an antenna extender,is that just some long pole that reaches out farther into the air outside the window? It is ok now,but it could breakdon again of course.

I got my extension cord for the antenna on Amazon. It attaches to the home unit and then meets with the antenna cord. I needed it because my antenna cord is only around 30 feet or something and needed another 30 to reach the NW corner of my house.

It's plug and plan. I strung the cord under my house (crawl space; it's an ancient house) and popped it out the other side.

No problems ever now, even in bad storms.

Also, clouds, trees, rain, most weather conditions and the occasional flock of seagulls.

    Thanks!

    Much appreciated
    Yeah we do.

I'm telling you with Peace and Love that Snow does not affect the Sirius signal. Weather affects XM signals a bit more. They are ever so slightly different. But you could have a foot or two of snow on the antenna and it would still be fine. That's from us talking to thousands of customers. It's usually another variable that might be causing issues.

Also the SXHA1 Outdoor Antenna is on sale through today http://www.tss-radio.com/sirius-xm-universal-outdoor-home-antenna-sxha1.html You just need this and coax/rg-6 cable and you are all set.

ANYTHING else that isn't on sale, just feel free to see if we can give a Dawgs discount, at the worst the guys ask me and I give them the go ahead.
