he had a good ted talk imo
The world needs ditchdiggers, too.
I like when he's on O&A
The big push that everyone must go to college, starting 40 years ago has gone overboard: resulting in trillions of student debt. loaned by a society that doesn't have money, to kids who will never pay it back, for jobs that dont exist
Meanwhile, 3 million top dollar jobs go unfilled, because our culture has taught kids that skilled labor...any labor is dirty and undignified
I think its funny that Dr. Cornell West is one of the people on the panel during this discussion.
And plumbers, who charge folks 400 bucks before they'll even look at the disaster in their house....every day
I know i saw that....he's even nodding in agreement...LOL
This on Carolla nails it
First of all, too many dumb people are going to college.
Explain how "our culture has taught kids that skilled labor is dirty and undignified?" A lot of my friends
fall into this category and they get mad pussy
i like Billy Maher
Ask BaddFun about that one.
nigga braggin about it
Look at the evidence....college has priced itself out of affordability. I see tons of kids with degrees flipping burgers
I also have several blue collar dope friends who have never wanted for work...and make mad scrilla.
A kid joining the IBEW apprentice program in NY right now, out of high school will out earn 90% of people in this country in coming years
I should have stayed in the military. I would have made way less money but I think I would have been happier.
ya think? You'd def be pension ready by now, huh?
I have a buddy who went army.....they paid for his school...stayed in the reserves. Got a job as a contractor. Got sent to Iraq twice, made captain, then major.....Fucking guy is rolling in cash
