As soon as he started to say, "If I wanted to bring Artie back," I knew the rest that would follow would be bullshit.

No, but I need to find the audio of him chastising IMUS from around 6 months ago for pocketing or trying to pocket ex employees salaries.

Another BS story by Howard. He had a contract that budgeted a fund for salaries for employees in his first deal. My guess is when he was negotiating the new deal with Sirius which Howard gave them 100% of the responsibility for employees salaries, he asked for them to cover an Artie replacement and they said no since he hadn't had one for a year.

C'mon, he has been employed by multiple companies over 30 years and every one of them screwed him on everything. Either he is the biggest doormat on the face of the Earth or the biggest liar.

They did finally add his show to a Sirius channel. (It was already on an XM channel.)

Somebody posted a thread about it.

This is possible, but I have another theory...

Howard did pocket the marbles for Artie (and the news department, etc.) and this pissed Sirius off because nothing specifically forbade it in the 1st contract. They foolishly thought the subscriber bonuses would motivate wiggy for the life of the contract.

In the new contract (since there are no incentives they could agree on), the only thing Mel/Sirius could do to prevent any more marble thievery was to put in a clause removing any financial incentive to reduce staff. If a person is let go, the money saved goes to Sirius, not Hoard.

Kind of pathetic the steps Sirius must take to prevent him from trying to grab more marbles and tarnishing his legacy even further :jj:

Yes he pocketed Artie's Salary. He couldn't hire anyone else because no one with any talent would work so cheaply as Benjy does.

Sirius payes radio performers like Artie/Fred/Robin and Gary. (and today we learned that Benjy also have a "star" contract".

Howard's contract is online. It states clearly that SiriusXM pays a Show budget. Howard don't pay anyone. So he can't pocket any money. What Howard is "angry" about is that when SiriusXM didn't sign a new contract with Artie, they kept the money. It did not go to the show budget or to hire a new talent.

This is exactly what would happen if they fired Benjy. First: Benjy is a SiriusXM employee, so Howard can't fire him, but besides that: Its only SiriusXM that is going to "pocket" the money.

Why do people still believe that Howard pays anyone? The contract: (page 6 in the contract: Sirius pays for the production cost)
