In talkin about the Oscar movies last week, Howard reiterated his refusal to see anything that would "bum him out." This includes "Sophie's Choice", "12 Years a Slave", "Schindler's List", and anything else that would make him feel bad. How fucked up, emotionally and psychologically, must he be to not be able to watch great drama (those aren't the only examples, in case your reasonably hate all three)? No wonder he thinks acting is easy: his only metric is his laughable performance as himself in "Private Parts".

(i mean as a kid all i wanted was comedy, but then i grew up for Christ's sake)

He lives in a world of delusion with people paid to kiss his ass 24/7, he wants no reminders of reality.

He cried when he watched The Help. He was so touched he probably gave his house manager a basket of vegetables from his garden when he got home. (With a note to please return the basket.)
