I coach hockey for 11-12 yr olds who play a game from about 4 to 5 O'Clock or so. This was a playoff game. 20 minute periods. Clock always runs. So it's quick. In a 3-2 game I put in a kid who loves playing goalie, who is just not the the best(all kids are different skill levels as we all know), but he always tries, his parents pay and come to watch and he always talks about hockey with a smile. I always switch goalies, the two that I have. Whenever they're in a long play and there's a stoppage, I switch them out. I guess a father who never comes to games, saw his son be pulled out and my little guy gave up two goals in the beginning of the period. We lost 4-3. Anyway the guy comes up to me with I guess two of his friends and asks why I did that and that I "ruined the kids night" and that he should "kick my ass in the parking lot" for doing that. Bottom line he never came into the parking lot as I said I have to talk to the kids about the great job they did, and I will be walking to my car in a little bit if need be and he "can kick my ass". He never did. Shocker. You came with two friends to say you would kick my ass. End of story. By himself he says not a word and when I said back I'd be in the parking lot to load up my car he said...NOT a word. WHAT THE HELL is wrong with parents??? They are kids and they are just having fun. You don't just sit kids who parents pay to play and have fun. I swear parents are getting out of control. What is with this wave of parents getting arrested and causing brawls and fights. They are KIDS!! They are all allowed to play and have FUN. Sorry you failed at your attempt in life to play, but man, let the kids play and have fun. Plus, you make young children get upset and cry because you are acting like a douche. Also he's "pulling his kid" (10 yrs old) out of the league coming up in a month in the next league. Wow, what fun for his 10 yr old kid who just smiles and has fun playing hockey. It's sad.
