If you're unaware, Artie's new stand-up special debuts on Comedy Central this Saturday at Midnight, BUT it is available to purchase, download and/or stream today for $5 via Comedy Central Direct's website. Unfortunately, it's not very good. Nearly every bit is something you've likely heard before. Here's a quick rundown of what's what: - Running vs. Heroin - Bet twice your net worth on a game you don't care about to make football exciting - GPS with Mike Tyson's voice - Stern Show story about 50 Cent buying Tyson's old house - ExtenZe/Jimmy Johnson bit - Nick & Artie studio murals bit - Black cock transplant bit - Went to a Klan meeting in Indiana - Mental institution vs. LA County - Crackhead Scrabble game bit - "Meth is a great drug if you wanna walk to St. Louis one weekend." - "Jew broad, fights Draculas.." - Jay-Z/Alicia Keys song bit - "If you give a hooker money for coke.." There are a handful of new(er) jokes here & there, but the worst part about the whole thing is it isn't that funny. I've heard all these bits a few times on several different talk show appearances and podcasts, and I assume the audience has too. The crowd seems to be devoted fans, but their reaction is poor. More applause breaks than real laughs throughout, and the applause is light and smattering at that. So, yeah.. a letdown. If you want to support Artie, by all means do so. It's only $5.. but so was Dave Attell's latest special, and it's fucking hysterical.
