And I tuned out after 30 minutes or so. I read many, many stories about how it's one of the greatest comedies of all time and shit. I can see why some things were funny in 1980, but I just can't see it now. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed "Ferris Bueler's day off" and I liked the quirkiness of the whole 80's vibe, but this one was just too... dated.

Or does the funny start later on in the movie?

I actually like it a little. Not a lot. Not even close to the original. But it has its moments.

Caddyshack and Animal House were classics that just don't hold up. If you're old like me you'll still watch them for nostalgic purposes but if you showed them to a kid today they'd probably fall asleep.

    I agree with Animal House

You telling me a kid wouldn't laugh at the boat scene? Or the pool scene? My ass.
