Okay, I'm fixin' to build me another one.
Yes, I'm lazy and going to buy a bundle package to put together.
But these two are looking enticing. One has a 6 core processor, and the other is a quad core with a 90 gig solid state hard drive. (And I've been dying to try one out!)
This one is just the mobo and and 6 core processor.
Asus M4A88T-M Motherboard and AMD HDT90ZFBRBOX Phenom II 1090T Black Edition Six Core Processor Bundle

    Or this one.
ASUS M4A785-M Motherboard and AMD Phenom X4 9850 Quad Core Processor and OCZ OCZSSD2-2VTXE90G Vertex 2 Solid State Drive Bundle
The 90 gig solid state drive sounds like fun. (with a 1tb slave.)

Both boards handle 16 gigs of 64 bit memory.
It's only a few bucks difference, but both have their own advantages.
If you had to pick between one of the two. Which one would you go with, and why?

AMD's always been very good to me. And since they bought ATI graphics, it just makes good sense to me.

Don't know if you want to start your own thread for this, but, if I'm looking for a new gaming PC, I'm looking at the follwing 4 hardware specs:

1 - Video Card - Dedicated vs Onboard Nvidia or AMD Video Card with min of 512mbs. Prefer 1Gb of onboard memory.
    2 - Quadcore Processor
    3 - 6-8Gbs of Memory
4 - Hardrive that spins at a min of 7200 rpms.

    :hat:

Yeah, I'm leaning towards the 6 core. Prices have been dropping in the SSD's, so I'll probably pick one up for my master drive anyway. Still reading and watching prices as we move towards the holidays. :D

Every time I build a new one. I usually spend a few weeks reading up, because so much has changed since building the last one. (the little lady always inherits my old machine. :D )
