It claims that 12% of my followers are fake--none of them are, they are people from here, my real life and others I follow

    So

It apparently counts anyone who doesn't use their "real" name as fake, which is bogus

Lets see, "real" is the opposite of "fake". And the people who use a name that is not "real" are counted as "fake". Thats crazy!

the idea is that the "fake" accounts aren't real people and were somehow purchased to up follower counts, that simply isn't the case, all of my followers are real people who use or used twitter --they aren't robots or created by a company, so their analytics are bogus

If you are going to make a claim and then not post any proof, I will dismiss the claim.

In the legal world isn't drawing a general conclusion from only one specific example called hearsay.

Hearsay is an out-of-court statement made by somebody other than the in-court declarant which is being offered for the truth of the matter asserted.

Is there a legal term for making an assertion about an entire population based on only one example?

Idk about a legal term. I would just call that an unfounded generalization.
