    Will he?

    Will HE?

    Why he will do it:

    --AGT premieres on Monday.

--Howard owes Lorne Michaels a favor for allowing lowly Stern lackeys to interview him for "SNL on Stern."

--The last time Will Ferrell hosted SNL, three years ago, Artie made a cameo.

    Why he won't do it:

--He'll have do the dress rehearsal (at 9:15 pm) and the actual broadcast (airing at 12:15 or 12:30 am), which is too late for Howard. When does he ever go out past midnight?

And if he's out too late, he'll be too exhausted for Monday's show.

Nobody watches SNL. But quite a few watch Leno. Leno is the key. And all of NBC knows it. Stern is crashing and burning now like the first British Jet Airliner, The Comet.

I thought SNL still hated him from the last time he was on and told the audience how he felt SNL sucked.

He basically says everything sucks, eventually. SNL was far better then than the last decade or so. In comedy quantity does not equal quality. Those long drawn out skits that go nowhere...bleech.

Well, Lorne Michaels agreed to take A LOT of time from his busy life to be interviewed by the Howard Stern Tapes Team for the SNL on Howard special.

Plus, Howard mentioned that when he ran into Lorne and Jimmy Fallon at the Beverly Hills Hotel, he told Lorne that he's the biggest genius in showbiz.

So there's no animosity at this point.
