While there are only about 13 of us left alive who could appreciate all the nuances represented in this, it still had made my day.
Had to look up what a oscilloscope was for ha. That is cool though.
Am I one of the 13? This is right up my alley!
Hmmm, pewhaps, Wabbit. Pewhaps.
It's the green electric eye which confirms proper modulation. No kidding, this is the machine dad Stern was referring to.
Those sounds bring back a lot of memories of Quake2 LAN play with my college roommates, the boss battles in that game were killer.
That's no Asteroids.
No it's not. The green eye was actually just a special radio tube that stuck through the case of the radio. An oscilloscope has a screen similar to the old TV.
This. The man knows his stuff.
51 now, been doing it since I was 12.
No shit? Thanks for the correction. What's that called?
ok somebody please explain how to move about in the game.. with the probes! hahha
Cathode ray tube, or CRT for short. It just a simple picture tube.
The probes have to go to an interface circuit that is connected to a game system or computer.
Or you could hold one probe in each hand like joysticks.
The person that did this must have nothing going on.. probably eats meat, too.
An oscilloscope is simply a device that let's you see a picture of what an electrical current looks like compared to something else (time, another current...).
