    I bought these as a surprise for my girlfriend. She has been wanting us to get new ones for a while, but couldn't decide on a set. So I started looking too and found these. I don't know if she even ever saw this set but it looked to have everything she liked in others. They were on sale for only $70 the other day so I ordered 2 sets. Was this a smart 150 bucks spent or should i be nervous about when they come? I never know with you broads.

    Go for something that stands the test of time if you plan on being with her. Service for 8 can be a big investment.

    We bought Denby which was cool because we could buy it open stock for years. She's got thousands of dollars wrapped up in dinnerware.

    Me too and I am big fan of the pasta bowls rather than deep soup bowls. We don't eat pasta that much anymore, but they're still cooler.

    The pasta bowls are versatile. You can use them for the big dinner salads too.

    Yes this was one of the shades she was looking at. She is kinda artsy and modern so I think the different shaped items will the winning feature of the set.
