Kid Rock? Jesus fuck. Maybe he's doing this in exchange for their ok to merge the "Surrender" riff with "More than a Feeling" so he describe more of his made up white trash upbringing over it.

Did they at least try asking Dave Grohl, Billy Corgan, or Art Alexakis?

Howard will spin it. 'Oh they asked me blobin. But I am going to be busy that week. I told them not to ask me because of my hectic work life.'

"I said why not ask Kid Rock, he's a good guy. So that's what they did and he wasn't too busy like I am, so he said yes."

When Kid Rock walks out on stage will they play 'You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet' by Bachman-Turner Overdrive?

Due to nothing else besides the passage of time, we live in a day and age where Kid Rock will soon be considered "classic" and kids will soon be asked what they're listening to and respond as such:
"yeah...you know classic rock...early Kid Rock...not his modern stuff. He kinda sold out, but that early shit is SO heavy."

I'm not sure if that makes those of us that talk about the older, earlier heroes of rock super retarded or that it's just that kids will forever be retarded about everything until they grow up and either remain retarded or learn that Kid Rock is a douche.

Also keep in mind that the RnR HOF will continue to get watered down with the passage of time as well. Soon enough we'll be seeing these ceremonies where the likes of Brittany Spears, N'SYNC, and Christina Aguleria are up there accepting their acceptance into this shit show of a building, having their names and memorabilia sit next to the likes of the Beatles, Stones, and Zep.

Getting old sucks and having to see that kind of shit sucks even harder. It won't be until round about 2023 so we have some time, but it's closer than you might think. By that time I'll be 44 and wishing I was never introduced to music on any level.

And Cheap Trick? Really? I think we've lost focus on what is truly good and now it's just about getting people through the doors in Cleveland to see new exhibits of the insanely decent. Fuck the RnR HOF.

If they were going to pick a rocker who is around Kid Rock's age who might be influenced by Cheap Trick, why not Billy Joe Armstrong (who has "Surrender" play in the stadium right before Green Day takes the stage) or Dave Grohl who have clearly been influenced by Cheap Trick. Rock was influenced more by Lynyrd Skynyrd and other southern rock bands. Even when he was a harder rocker with no deep south influences, his music seemed nothing like Cheap Trick.

But the fact that Peter Cetera is going to be inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame this year over Ric Ocasek makes this class a farce anyway. I know Chicago deserves to be in the Hall, but the Cetera years should be wiped from all historical records and all of our memories.

Howard cemented his lame taste in music when he loved Kid Rock's mash-up/cover song of "Werewolves of London"/"Sweet Home Alabama". Artie couldn't bust his balls long and hard enough over that. Surprised that didn't make Howard's infamous iTunes playlist.

Howard wouldn't fly to or induct anybody into the HoF even if it was The Beatles, Mountain, E'nuff Z'nuff, or Led Zep. He'll make up some excuse for not going, he's great at those.

I'm pretty sure most judges are going to side against you, so I wouldn't go saying that. Didn't it feel funny, though, typing out those song titles?
