Pretty cool, shades of 1976
Must be pretty stable the way they are parading it around NYC airspace. :/
Looks like a monkey fucking a football
Yeah, in progress. my daughters are at the river snapping pics and taking video. The news is getting some awesome video
he said Enterprise and you posted a star trek guy, OMG LOL
And the added weight on the air frame. Did they have to modify that 747's structure to support the shuttle? I can imagine it puts a lot of stress on the plane when it lands.
Wheels down, very cool. Almost an hour flying around over NYC.
thats cool... so its staying in NY city now?
They were just talking about that. A modified 747, the original plane from the testing days used only to ferry shuttles.
Yes, part of the display on the intrepid.
that is pretty strange once you think about it.
Damn! Now I might need to get to the Intrepid!
(I wish they were making daily flights. )
a few yrs ago during one of its last early morning launches, watched it live on the news & we live on the east coast, went out on the deck & saw it going right up the coast.. it looked like it was constantly pushing sound waves in front of it like those youtubes of jets breaking the sound barrier, it was pretty fucking amazing.
