That almost seems respectable. I couldn't imagine 50,000 people watching that dreck.

Sounds way too high. Does the channel even have that many overall?

most if not all of them are just watching it because it's a new show with animals in it. It could be anybody hosting it. Beth brought zero point zero to the table.

Sadly, she brought me to the table. I tune in for Beth, but not for the reasons she would like it to be. She's just too damn easy to mock.

6th and 10th place on nat geo wild doesn't sound very impressive. most of the viewers stayed for the 2nd episode, though. maybe her show was bookended by a couple of the channel's top shows.

Those numbers make Gary and Hein's show ratings look even more embarassing. I imagine there is going to be a sharp drop off in week 2.

that's more than respectable for a remote cable channel, and she held onto viewers for the second episode :cheer:

Ratings will likely drop off on the following shows, no way they will maintain that.

That's probably quite good for the network. I don't know how many homes actually get that network, but I'm sure it's relatively few. And for the ones that do, I'd assume that the channel is hidden somewhere in 200-700 range. You're unlikely to stumble across it unless you're looking specifically for it.

I mean, you still have to factor in production and promotion costs, as well as how well it does with respect to other programming. (Does Nat Geo Wild rely on a lot of original programming or are they content with second run shows of the parent network?) The test will be to see if it has legs. It doesn't have to be Game of Thrones, but they'd probably like to contend with that midget that runs the pit bull rescue.
