    A Nashville sports reporter who delivered a Prince-themed report after the musician’s death has been fired, according to his Facebook page.

    Dan Phillips, who worked at Fox station WZTV for more than ten years, says viewers and management found his April 21 sports report “insensitive” and that he was fired on Friday. Awful Announcing notes the station has already removed Phillips from its staff roster

    I didn't really see anything wrong with it other than being corny. To fire an employee of 10 years over it? Come on man. The guys on sports center did this kind of stuff for years and no one cared.

    as a kid who grew up watching Olbermann, Patrick, Eisen etc on the Real Sportscenter, i can certainly appreciate what he was doing.
