Mutt is running his mouth on twitter saying that booey let it slip that Springsteen is coming to the show. Everyone is calling him out saying Springsteen is overseas on tour.
    Anyone hear the actual broadcast?

...im willing to bet many "performances at the birthday bash" will in fact be via live or delayed video.

Mutt must have gotten his hand slapped. the original post is gone, replaced with an apology...

When @robertAbooey mentioned Metallica & Springsteen he must have been referencing prior @SiriusXM events & NOT #HowardBdayBash performers

I'm still holding out hope that Scott Joplin will make a star appearance for the incredibly relevant B-Day "bash."

let's say both springsteen and Metallica are going to the party... Can someone please explain to me WHAT THE FUCKING BIG SECRET IS? what kind of marketing model is this??? If they are looking for people to tune in, and advertising that its free for anyone to check out, why wouldn't they announce the guests in the hopes that those celebrities fan bases tune in and get hooked on the show? I don't understand it all.

    This

With no apparant video broadcast at the live event they can edit this in seemlessly. Basically Buce just has to give a 1 minute shout out while introing one of his songs and then go ahead and do his regular show.

Mutt is a retard. Booey was clearly referring to past events.

...i think its because most of the performers are tentative or going to be presented on a video screen from somewhere else.

I think you are right. I wonder if they'll try and pass them off as live. We know McCartney taped his bit in Japan a couple of weeks ago and the audience had no clue who Howard Stern was, it will be interesting to see how that's presented at the actual event.

I heard those guys riff on the Grammys last night - and it brought back memories! Those memories of when my son was young and the discordant racket he made banging away on his xylophone

I heard the reference on the Wrap Up show and don't know what the Hell Mutt thought he heard. They brought up the topic of why not do a show like this in places like Vegas or Texas or California. Booey said Howard doesn't want to leave New York and also mentioned that for Sirius it is easier to have bands like Bruce and Metallica go to New York. He made it sound as if he were talking about past events like Metallica at the Apollo.

I could possibly see Metallica performing. They like Howard. When they were in back in September and played it was to promote their concert movie Through The Never that was about to be released in theaters. Coincidentally that movie comes out on DVD tomorrow. It could be a way to promote the DVD release.
