The new Star Trek movie is very good. Like a kicked up classic TV episode.

I didn't really understand the Checkov toast in the beginning since the actor died after filming and was in the movie.

I wanted to see Scotty bang that chick at the end , The dude deserves a woman for all those years of mechanic work .

I somehow know it will suck. Although the theater ought to be air conditioned. Maybe I should go for that reason.

finally saw it this evening. I HATED the first 2 with the intensity of 1000 suns and the trailers for this one looked awful.

but I REALLY LIKED IT. they FINALLY got the characters interacting and behaving as they should. well done - the only other popcorn movie I haven't hated this summer was Civil War, and I liked this movie much more than that.

    Into Darkness is an abomination

Aside from one really stupid scene imo, Beyond is terrific

The movie itself wasn't too bad, what I couldn't stand was the way certain things were filmed. I don't know what the deal is with this new way of filming fight scenes where the camera is bouncing all over the place and zoomed all the way in on the people's heads. I also hate the 360 shots where the camera is either going around a group of people and/or spinning during a top view of something.

I really liked the Jayla character. I hope she's in the next movie or something. She can replace Chekov, I suppose.

I'll admit, I marked the fuck out when Sabotage started playing towards the end. That was fucking awesome.

Movie was a little too mellow for me. They overreacted to the unfuckable nerd hate club saying the first two movies had too much action.

Why does everyone hate the first two? I thought they were both pretty good. I liked Beyond too but what was wrong with Into Darkness? Too 9/11-y?
