Heller/Getty Images Donald Fagen of Steely Dan was arrested for allegedly shoving his wife in their Upper East Side apartment on Monday. Steely Dan co-founder Donald Fagen was arrested for roughing up his wife in their Upper East Side apartment, sources said Tuesday. The 67-year-old rocker allegedly shoved wife Libby Titus, 69, into a marble window frame, knocking her to the ground inside their E. 92nd St. home about 5:30 p.m. Monday. As a result of the push, Titus suffered “bruising and swelling to her right arm, as well as substantial pain,” according to Fagen’s criminal complaint. Fagen launched Steely Dan in 1972 with guitarist Walter Becker. The iconic group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001. Titus has also spent much of her life involved in the music industry, working with big names like Phil Ramon, Robbie Paterson, Paul Simon and Carly Simon. She also took on small acting and producing roles, producing the New York Rock and Soul Revue with Fagen from 1989 to 1992. MARK J. Fagen is charged with assault in the third degree, a misdemeanor, and harassment, a violation. He was also issued an order of protection to stay clear of Titus.
