Entertainment Stern Quits AGT - What can be gleaned?

    Stern quits AGT for another TV Show (he claims) on today's show

    AGT Is still in the early part of Season 10 - with many live shows upcoming.

    Stern announces on June 27 - his last show for the week

    What can be surmised by the timing and how he announced?

    1. He's still got many live shows ahead of him. It's possible that he gets replaced before the end of this season

    2. He claims NBC need to know his decision before July so they could plan for next season. But he could have made his decision not to return and kept it private. Why announce it to the public. ?

    3. His new show (if it exists) will be taped in NY.

    What else?

    most likely they told him they don't want someone that looks that old reviewing the young acts anymore. that they want someone who looks younger, like Larry King.

    You know - I think you're right.
    I guess I didn't think he would just blatantly lie, when the truth will eventually come out.

    Now NBC can replace him at the live shows with Simon Cowell and Stern can just say they're doing what he suggested.

    Him getting fired would explain why he rushed out the story that he quit - so he could be first to the press with his side of it.

    but when you look at the article, the show is not getting many viewers - not enough for the hassle to move the whole show to NY and pay Stern a shit load.
    Eventually, it's going to come out that Stern got canned - it's going to be fun watching him try and re spin it.

    Buckwald better get him on a TV show - quick:

    "Hi Juliet, I mean Elisa, this is D. Buckwald. I've got a great idea for your Spreecast......How about Kermit and Howard and Friends?"
