I really think they are starting to slowly end the Stern Show Shuffle and by the time Howard's contract is up it will be gone. Lately they have only been playing it for a few hours Mon-Wed and they have their other fuhcockta shows on Thursdays and Fridays and on weekends they just replay the shuffle shows from earlier in the week. They have also been playing a lot of interviews from the past couple of years on the shuffle and less and less of the golden years of shows from 1990-1999. Stern Show Suffle is really the only thing I listen to anymore since GeekTime is a repeat almost every week.

    This.

If you were to cesor the shows of the 90s, or even shows from 2008 and prior to what is acceptable on today's nuetured show you would barely have anything left.

The tapes team must have to go back and re-edit the shuffle show monthly to cleans them on what ever Stern has decided what was now offensive.

Stern now censors his shows more than the FCC ever did. The evil Michael Powell (remember him from 2004) allowed more edgy humor and content on the air than the evolved Howard Stern does.

You heard that right, the former head of the FCC, and his recent predecessors, were bigger advocates of free speech than Stern is today.

Take out the curse words and you will find edgier content on network television

What kind of NY doctor would I be if I didn't know a little Yiddish?

Read Portnoy's Complaint by Phillip Roth. Funny as hell and you'll learn all the Yiddish you'll ever need.

They concentrate on the interviews which are usually dated and boring for two reasons. One, they are the easiest to sanitize and prepare for the air since they usually didn't involve now taboo subjects and two, even after the AGT failure Howard thinks he's going to get an offer for an interview show if enough people hear his "amazing" interview skills

They repeat segments way more often than they used to - some of the bits are played almost every week. They also use a lot of the segments from the Satellite Years and TDiHH for the same week, so you hear bits from those shows for a second or third time within hours (sometimes minutes). People keep trying to blame it on budget constraints but that doesn't explain (or excuse) this type of stuff, it's pure laziness and incompetence.

I was always under the impression that "shuffle" meant to randomly play different things. Seems to me that it's just nonstop repeats which are occasionally broken up by mind numbingly boring interviews that weren't good the first time around much less with all the censorship. Doesn't matter now, anyway. I canceled my subscription a few days back so I'm free of the monotony.

they are running out of old show material once they've excised out all the racial, handi-cap, political, sexist and anti-celebrity humor, as well as cutting out his ex-wife/daughters and anyone he's not friends/family with anymore.
