Entertainment Stern, Truly A Man Of The People ?

With the recent tributes to Howard, many laughed at sighting the world's smallest bodyguard Ronnie in the background, but they didn't notice the other 5 real bodyguards surrounding Howard as he mingled with the common people.

Just what does Howard fear? What is he trying to protect?

Is he so fearful that someone will actually grab his wig? Are celebrity kidnappings rampant in NYC? Is Artie gonna run up and try to hug him? Is Gunky's ego so delicate he can't have any chance of it being bruised? Is he allergenic to whipped cream pies? Will an 11-year-old try to sit on his lap?

Someone already stole all of the funny. So, what is it?

Besides the president or Pope or Kardashians, who travels with this many body guards? For a stroll in the streets with the common, unwashed, people?

What's he so scared of that he needs 5-6 goons surrounding him at all times?

It's gotta be the wig

 

That's a damn expensive wig.

 

OK I will say it. I am with you on all of the crappy stuff Howard does to his fans & employees but he is right to have bodyguards walking through the streets as is every other famous person. There is always some nut job that wants to make a name for themselves by punching a celeb or worse.

I thought they were all around him in case the wind blew his wig off

 

Its his throngs of fans seeking his autograph, too many fans, needs bodyguards to keep them away!

 

Letterman has had extortion attempts, had kidnapping threats against his son, had crazy broads breaking into his house and eating all the good cheese, and you generally don't see him surrounded by private cops when he's at Indy or walking with his kid or jogging or whatever.

 

What I love about that AGT tribute video is that it's set to "New York State of Mind" by Billy Joel, a song about ditching the trappings of luxury and getting back to reality:

You have it all backwards. The security protects the lengthy black teens of New York from Gunks wandering hands. HooHoo

 

I agree. You know over the years he has had to deal with his share of fucking nut jobs.

 

I wonder what the code word for him his bodyguards use. Maybe it is "the wig". One bodyguard talking into his sleeve,"the wig is on the move, I repeat, the wig is on the move". "Check that partner. Don't take your eyes off the short black guy the wig is patting on the back. The wig asked if he is beer can thick."

 

Meh. There are celebs that say much more inflammatory things than Howard and they seem to avoid being punched in public.
When's the last celebrity punching you saw?
And Howard's a big guy who knows karate!

I wonder if Howard still packs his concealed firearm when he has that kind of protection. And Ronnie has to be the decoy on that elite security force, right? I can't imagine any of the real security guards view him as a respected team member, or yield to his instructions. I think he's mainly there to draw the fire of potential snipers.

 

Any celebrity filming in the middle of a NYC crowd is going to have at least 5 security people around, can't really criticize Howard for this one

 

And he'll never see the irony.
