I have heard Howard talk about how if Rush came to satellite no one would have paid to hear him. Now I am not a Limbaugh fan Per Se but I have to think he would have brought listeners, may be not as many as Stern but he would be a bust by any stretch. So do you think that Rush would have/would bring listeners? Jesus they paid Oprah in bit-coin they gave her so much fuckin money they can't splurge for Rush?

Rush reaches far more people via terrestrial radio. Whether you like him or not.

Rush is a successful talk radio personality. He doesn't need satellite, he likes having a lot of listeners.

    Limbaugh's done.

    He's done.

He's become an industry joke. He's been thrown off all the best stations in major markets and has had to settle for second-rate stations with little to no listeners. Sure, he still get's paid $50 million a year for his syndication deal, but that expires next year. The guy's audience has aged to the point that it's poison for advertisers.

Hey, I'm not saying Howard's doing great (I've got ears, I can tell he isn't), but he's beating the hell out of Rush. Howard just re-upped at Sirius. When Rush's syndication deal ends next year, he's in a lot of trouble.

If you really hated Rush all these years, do yourself a favor; google "Rush Limbaugh Decline" and have an almost endless supply of schadenfreude.

He'd beat stern. There's a lot of morons out there. And he's probably won over the cochlear implant community. But not the deaf community. They hate CI's.

Just happened on Rush today for the first time in a long time. Kept asking a caller to repeat himself, than said it was hard for him because he has to read off a transcription.

His hearing must be almost completely gone if he has to read everything that callers say.

That sounds hauntingly familiar, much like what is said about HooHoo.

What Stern means is that Rush doesn't need to escape to satellite so he wants to knock him down a few pegs.

It has to bother Stern...politics aside here...Rush is more relevant than Stern is. I think he inspired FOX news and the subsequent counter of MSNBC.

Unlike Stern Rush can do what he's always done...old people talking politics vs old people and crank calls. Even kids today love fighting over politics.

...and Rush upsets more people than Stern does...and has insanely loyal followers.

Stern's jabs at Rush aren't politically inspired...he's just flat out resentful of his success on radio.

I dunno, it says here that rush is still #1, with 13.25 million listeners...

I think there albums were good until the 1980's, seems like they went down hill in the 90's

    http://www.rush.com/albums/

    Stern went downhill in 2009

Limbaugh has always been an arrogant douchebag

    just my worthless 2 cents

Sirius move seemed to have helped Howard early on, but he (as we all know) has lost the relevance. And Rush has remained pretty steady. Google Trends (By year):

Try listening to them. Vapor Trails, Snakes and Arrows and Clockwork Angels were superb. Going in different directions musically is not going downhill...
