Holy Cow. Howard tried sooooooo hard to make this interview interesting but just could not do it.
I cant remember how many times Andy one word answered "Absolutely"or "yup" to his questions.

Skip this one people. Total snoozer.

Haven't listened. Andy Samberg is horribly unfunny even by current SNL standards

I heard a Sirius Town Hall a few weeks ago with Ric Ocasek and the interviewer asked him if he had an interesting story about the next song they were going to play. He said, "uhhhhh, not really. I just wrote a bunch of songs for the album and that was one." The interviewer sounded all awkward. It was pretty great if you like awkwardness.

It's Howard's interviewing style. Instead of asking someone to tell their story he tells it for them (reads it off Wikipedia or something similar) and then says "right?" If he's correct then what else is there to say other than "yep!"

If they start to elaborate Hasty Howard cuts them off quickly and is on to the next part of their life he wants them to simply confirm. Once in a while he is incorrect (must be a bad source or bad research on the part of his staff) and the interviewee actually gets to tell their own story. Those are generally more interesting interviews.
What's the point of interviewing someone if you're just going to recite their Wiki page to them and say "isn't that right?" after each anecdote? Wouldn't you want to hear more than just what is available to read about someone online if they're sitting right in front of you?

Did we get details as to the length and thickness or had he already been in before?

He was just as boring as he was on WTF with Marc Maron so I'll give Howie a pass.

They said on dawgshed that when Howard bragged about being the one that got the Khaleesi to start doing nude scenes again on GoT, Samberg replied..."Oh, god. I hope you're not proud of that". What a little PC faggot he is...

So true. And I love when he acts like he has always known a fact as opposed to just reading it 30 minutes earlier. And 75% of the time it isn't even correct

This is exactly why I don't understand why he gets high marks as an interviewer.

When I used to listen, it would just frustrate me to listen to him. He has no idea how to let an interview breathe.

Because Howard isn't a interviewer, he's a shock jock-- and he should own that label. Look at Howie's casual acquaintance Donald Trump, among other things, not being "politically correct" has made him a central figure on the world stage. Love what he says or hate what he says, you can't deny that people are hungry for politically incorrect discourse. Howard could immediately make himself relevant again by saying a few mildly shocking things, but he doesn't have the balls to stand up to the PC bullies. Look at what happened with Lena Dunham. Sad!

Interviewing 101 always amounts to, "don't ever ask a question that can result in a one-word answer." Instead of asking, "were you emotionally shattered after your divorce?", ask "how did you feel after your divorce?" It also pays to pre-interview the celeb so you can say, "hey, do you have any funny stories about what happened during the making of your project?", that kind of crap. Very standard.

Howard is not a very good interviewer. And Andy Samberg is not very funny. Made for compelling radio. That interview could have used a BoBo call or fake phone call or two.

What is with the SNL taking over everything? Every late night talk show host - every comedy movie - now I was watching Hulu and effing bobby Moynihan is the Pizza Hut commercial guy. That's digging deep in the cast

Anyone think Howard is telling the truth when he says that the Flickbox (or whatever that secure method for watching new movies at home) crashed on him?

They're cheap and out of touch as execs think people give a shit about SNL. Moynihan is cheap versus getting an actual celebrity or sports player
