Stuttering John will lose his job next summer when Jimmy Fallon takes over the Tonight Show ..

Stupid bastard... doesn't he know that had he stayed with Howard he would have made 1/100th the salary and would have had job security through 2015 instead of 2014??

all the while he would have had to put up with Howard's constant threats of quitting, getting to sniff Beth's hand bags that cost twice what you make a year.. and having to do shit

projects on the side like Howard's staff does now

    that John what an idiot

Serves John right for not telling Howard that he had a job offer that would pay probably ten times his salary on the HSS, therefore not giving Howard the opportunity to match or to beat the offer. Because of course Howard would have.

...oh i dont know i think this has been coming to this for a long time. john would have never had the leno job if not for stern. now the chickens are home to roost, no stern, no leno, just one john melendez selling his house and paying child support for the next 10-12 years and no job. sounds like the real john to me, lets see if he lands on his feet.

John thought he'd always have a show business job but he should have lived like he made the 12 grand a year Howard payed him all this time. He'll probably be broke in a few years.

John's already more successful than anyone who currently works for the Stern Show will ever be.

I guess the bar is very low if John is the standard.

Hiring a stutterer was an goofball act of payback by a furious Leno for Stern going off the reservation, disrespecting his show with the two lezbos. John was in the right place at the right time, did okay on a couple of "auditon" guest appearances but if not for the vendetta, he never would have been hired.

That said, he's taken his relative "talent" further than just about any of the present or past on air Stern cast toadies could or will - so he gets props for that.

he's now friends with 100s of people in positions to give him a good job.

Funny that John will have as much in his hand today as he did in 2004 after divorce/unemployment/child support. I guess shilling for some shit ass company that still believes that Howard has a huge fan base is in his future...

John should never have betrayed Howard.
You know: When John posted on Facebook that Leno did NOT steal everything from Howard.

Until then Howard and John where friends, especially Beth and John's wife where close. How dare John tell the truth! Now Howard-TheJew and the Illuminati will black-ball John from the industry.

John is a creative guy. There are probably several TV shows or Hollywood studios bidding for his services when Leno retires. When you look at some early comedy writers for the Tonight Show like Woody Allen I think everyone can agree that the next name that comes to your mind is John Melendez.

Now that everyone knows (thanks to AGT) that Howard has lost his fanbase and isn't a ratings draw, he's just as likely to be unemployed after his Sirius contract is up.

I wouldn't worry about John if he invested in the stock market back in 2008, he will be in good shape today.

Being a writer on the Tonight Show is a pretty impressive thing to have on your resume. Being a judge on AGT? Not so much.

My guess... He either becomes a talking head on some "World's Dumbest" or "Best Week Ever" type show or starts his own radio show or podcast.

In Howard's mind John's salary from Leno is half his if not more since he invented John.

That stuttering no talent had a good run on the Tonight Show. He should be grateful and start planning now for the inevitable. All good things come to an end sooner or later.

is it verified that he's even still connected with the Leno show? Thought that was a bit fuzzy after he got the boot from the announcer gig

(haven't watched Leno in ... well really ever..)
