TRENTON — Consumers in New Jersey who subscribe to Sirius XM Radio may be entitled to money under a settlement reached in December, but all complaints must be filed within the next two weeks, state authorities said Thursday.

The settlement resolved allegations that the company failed to honor contract cancellation requests, automatically renewed contracts without consumers' consent and charged unauthorized fees, among other things, the state Division of Consumer Affairs said.

The company agreed to pay $3.8 million to participating states, including $114,982 to New Jersey. Those who believe they were affected by Sirius XM Radio's practices must file a complaint with the division by May 3 to be eligible to receive money.

Residents can contact the division at 1-800-242-5846 and can also file a complaint electronically at www.njconsumeraffairs.gov.

The company management is as fraudulent as the "face of the company". They hire out "Bob" from Islamabad to mishandle customer service knowing that most people are too busy to repeatedly call those nitwits to get it right.

They used to send me past due notices for someone with the same last name as me but a different first name and different location. Sue from Mumbai had no clue what to do, they finally sent me to an angry black woman in the US, she fixed that issue and cancelled all my subscriptions without issue.

sounds like a lawsuit where lawyers make all the money.
I'll never understand why Stern wasn't sued. He made statements that where not true and a boatload of promises he never intended to keep when he was a partner pranking people into subscribing.

A caller this week asked Howard if he would sell off his stock knowing he would not re-sign...
....a doodle occurred..:jj:....Howard appeared fake confused as if he had never thought about it....:jj:

"Robin, what's he talking about, get off my phone.......I sold my Sirius stock 3 days after I started broadcasting there, in a sense that caused the stock to start dropping in value until it reached 5 cents a share, I was a partner"

I bought a life time membership when he went to Sirius, but got out of it a few weeks later when I found out he was only working 4 day and then I found out it was only good for 4 or 5 radios. I had a couple radios fail within a few weeks. I have XM now because it came free with my Corvette Stingray and I do not bother listening to Stern when they offer it for free on XM.

Back in the 1980s I would tape every show on my VHS recorder so I wouldn't miss a minute but now I really do not care about the show. Stern isn't as good as I thought he was it was Jackie, stuttering John and Artie that made him good. Without them he can't carry the show by himself

Early on in the Revolution when the weaved fraud was a partner trying to reach bonus milestones he took calls from frustrated fans about the shitty Sirius equipment and shitty customer services and ask Gary to look into it......:jj:
