Haven't listened for almost 3 years. All I've really learned from my brief time on this forum is that Howard is even more PC, and that Richard and Sal get little to no air-time. Does that include their bits? Or are they relegated to passing Stern notes during the show?

In my opinion the end of one of the last great eras was when Eric the Midget passed. At that point I wasn't listening for a while, but it sort of indicated to me that the show wasn't even worth returning to. That said, I still enjoy Todd Packer's collection and it provides endless hours of entertainment. At 60GB it should give me a good year of content from the best days.

The show has had moments. The recent Steve Martin interview was pretty good. It's not all terrible, but a lot of it is not very good. There ain't much better on radio these days.

It's like watching a silly movie. If you suspend disbelief and don't hang on every word you will be entertained. And if it sucks or they do stupid shit, it's okay to change the channel.

The phony phone calls really are phony. Howard is an old out of touch queen. Paid advertisements are crowbarred in. The bits are contribed and recycled. Welcome to the world we live in.

    Thanks, hahahaha

Pretty close to what I would have thought. Really wish some of the staff could just break away, but it's kind of depressing to think that they might be staying on board just because they can't do anything else. Sal and Richard are great, only wish the best for them. Howard is set, but I really can't imagine that the rest of the crew would continue their lifestyle if the show were to be canceled today.

I only catch the end of the show every day, usually after opie and Jim Norton end or on a replay on the weekend but for some reason, and I know I'll catch shit for this, I still crack up every time they start the news and they play a Robin song. They've got enough of them that they never have to repeat them and they are usually well done. It's so stupid but I can't help but laugh.

If there were any ratings accountability in the audited competitive terrestrial world where listenership drives advertising revenues, this show would either be long gone or totally revamped into entertainment that's actually responsive to the desired advertiser demographics.

It stopped feeling natural in any way. The comedy bits are forced and rarely funny, the interviews are mostly a 1,5 hour rundown of someone's resume. The only people who at times display real and authentic moments, the wack packers, are either dying or moving away (Beetlejuice)

All celebrity interviews are now formulaic & listeners muster all their strength just to listen.

25 year listener. I still listen and probably will until the last live broadcast but I have to admit, I rarely laugh out loud like I used to.
Fred's perfectly placed sound drops that used to be a huge part of bringing the funny are almost non existent.
Howard has been neutered by the PC faggotry that has swept this once great nation. Once he changed Gary and Wendy the retards names I knew it was over.

There's not much else to listen to in the morning so Howard wins by default.

How's that for a ringing endorsement.

some of the interviews are ok
mostly they're a little longer than I would like them to be
the wrap up show used to be a pretty good show-I don't really listen much now
but it's still a fairly entertaining show overall

between it and lebatard it kills some time in the mornings here and there
