    What cut of meat do you use for your Sunday roast? Eye? Chuck? Rib?

    I know that the rib roast is the king, but I am not trying to pay for a rib roast today. I associate a Chuck roast more with a pot roast (fattier and should be cooked very low).

    A nice roast beef is normally what? Eye of the Round?

    Ask daveindiego what he would use and how he would cook it. Then do the complete opposite and you'll be fine.

    Do NOT get eye of round roast. I shit you not, it is the worst, most tough cut of meat you will ever eat.

    If you're not going high on the hog with prime rib, then get a sirloin tip roast. They're really delicious.

    Pot roast is great, just not what I am going for today. I want a bloody slab of beef with a loaded baked tater and leftover sandwiches.

    And for the love of god, after it's cooked, make sure you let it rest 10 minutes or so before you slice it, so all of the juices don't run out, like DaveinDiego's did. :facepalm:
