A Man In Victoria, B.C. Had His Ferrari Wrapped In Chrome.
Now THAT is a shiny car.

A man in Victoria, B.C. had his Ferrari F430 wrapped entirely in chrome, and the results are quite something.

Atilla Bassett hired local company The Sign Pad to complete the project, which took six days to finish and cost Bassett more than $13,000, reported the Times Colonist. The car is insured for $200,000.

Chrome is often considered the "Everest of wrapping" because the material is so hard to handle, according to a post on the company's website. A YouTube video shows the meticulous process behind the shine.

“I am head over heels happy with the results,” Bassett told the Times Colonist. “I like to step outside the box. I know it isn't for everyone, but if you spend your life worried about how everybody thinks, you will never live your dream.”

Chrome plating some kind of process where you dip metal in electrolized fluids, or some crazy ass shit like that.

Also gives you the cancer with much quickness.

    :c

I wanted to hate it... but I don't. It's not as obnoxious as I'd imagined because the chrome just kind of takes on whatever colors surround it. And while it may be a bit over-the-top, it's kind of fitting for that type of car.

Some strange guy in my neighbourhood drives around in this, I don't think it is some official promo car either, it looks too cheap close up. It was right outside my window the other day ....................

It's a legit Jeep sold by Jeep a few years back. They've done more than one year of it.

I agree. Much cooler than I expected.
That's an embarrassment to Jeep. I'm willing to bet that not a single one those models will ever go off-road or be used for what it was designed for mechanically. Maybe a drive to GameStop and Mc Donalds but that's it.

That is not a COD Jeep. The model in that pic is pre-'96 for sure.

Someone just bought the stickers and stuck 'em on.

Nope. I would have if it was discounted though and just pulled some of the graphics. Jeep has a knack for hideous special editions. My '14 Wrangler couldn't be any more bland.

I just know things. Useless things. :fil:
