As a talk radio fan I'm looking for recommendations for any decent talk radio shows to fill in the gap now that I don't listen to about 95% of The Stern Show. I (usually) like Jay Thomas, but every time I try other talk shows on SiriusXM I find myself tuning out due to boredom. Traditional terrestrial hosts like Limbaugh and Savage seem as burned out and predictable as Stern. Any good talk show suggestions, on SiriusXM or elsewhere? Thanks!

I've started to listen to a lot of the old O/A stuff, very funny wish I started listening sooner. The O/J is okay, but the same guests get annoying and its an ass kissing show.

Not that I know of, and Jay's show is down to 2 hours and 1.5 of that is politics till the election is over. Most people really are bad at talk radio. Apparently it's harder than it seems.

If you're looking for something strictly comedy wise, I'd suggest exploring podcasts.

Try podcasts. Sirius has such lacking content for a business that should offer so much more.

Try podcasts of things like history and philosophy, or even, dare I say it, economics. You can learn a lot that, over time, pays off in the real world.

    Morano in the Morning

Frank Morano is Staten Island’s favorite son and brings the wisdom of a common sense New Yorker, coupled with an encyclopedic knowledge of local politics to the microphone each week to offer listeners a refreshing perspective on the news of the day. Morano is also a longtime observer of the criminal justice system and spends a great deal of time covering, analyzing and explaining some of the most controversial cases in the news- in a way that’s easy for people to understand. He also has a singular wit and a dry sense of humor, which leads listeners to wonder whether or not he was being sarcastic or not, hours after his show ends. His show also features celebrity interviews, in-depth discussion of pop culture and humorous stories from his personal life, translated into parables, in the tradition of Jean Shepherd.

That's because after Howard gets paid, there isn't any money left to pay for anything else

At the end of Jay's show Friday, Jay said " I know you have a multiple choices for repeats here on these channels, thanks for choosing us"

I thought that was pretty ballsy, goofing on Stern on his channels, talking about the repeat fest that it is

To answer your original question, Jason Ellis is on at 10 am.

I don't listen, but you might like it
