If you had a long weekend, where would you rather spend it?

Austin. Especially if you're into live music.

I've never been to Florida, but I imagine it to be a wild raucous party place. Austin is a cool, laid back party place. And GREAT music everywhere...

Leaning towards Austin now. I don't care much about Cubans.

I dig rednecks though, they know how to party.

I heartily endorse this decision, do a little online research, you'll see. But you're wrong about the rednecks....there are few in Austin , and that's the beauty of it. It used to be called the "San Francisco Of The South" because it is by far the most laid back place in Texas...almost like another country. Hippies, yuppies, college kids, cowboys, punks, preps, any type you can think of, but everybody gets along. It's very historical and is in a central location with a lot of cool places nearby. If you come to Texas, I beg you, stay away from places like Dallas, Houston, El Paso...Fort Worth is somewhat less vile than those...but Austin is the best.

I don't know, maybe I never met 'real' rednecks. Some of the folks I hung out with in Florida had a bunch of guns, went out on hunting trips and drove a pick-up truck. Does that qualify as 'redneck'?

But that sounds good about Austin. I'm pretty stoked about it now.

I'm kinda curious though, what's so bad about those other places? I have no real point of reference, there.

Miami, but not this weekend, it's blaek weekend. I sore it on the news, but they have cops every block and are making arrests. :cheer:

Local businesses are having a hard time because locals are staying away. Waiters must be pissed because of the non tippers too.

Also Miami had a Zombie attack earlier this week. :gangtrash::omg:
