If Quentin hadn't volunteered that complaint just as the interview was about to end, Howard would've had absolutely nothing from this interview to release to the media.
I like that in the little 3-minute video the Stern Show released, they made sure to include Howard saying, "In all fairness, nobody from Disney is here to comment."
King of All Legal Disclaimers!
And the sky is blue!
looking forward to the Hateful 8, despite this.
yes Yes he is But I love how the article says "cinamas" plural when its about A cinama singular. Fucking lazy Media.
Gee, I wonder which picture is going to gross more? Another Tarantino bloodfest or another "Star Wars" installment. Lemme think this one over... hmm...
Gee, I wonder which movie I will watch over and over again for years after it comes out? A Star Wars movie or a Tarantino movie? I'll go with Quentin on this one...
His movies are great. This is why I never wanna know about these people's personal beliefs. If I looked into who is or isn't an asshole, I'd probably be out of half my movies, books, sports teams, musicians.
yeah, he is a giant douche. it's too bad, but most of hollywood is like that
So you're a die-hard Tarantino fan. There's no reason to argue with you, your mind is made up.
I meant one-dimensional in the truest sense of the expression. I've grown to hate his "stamp" so to speak. I thought Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs were great, True Romance was probably his best written film, but after that, I got fed up with his style of filmmaking. And chopping up Kill Bill into two parts just to make twice the revenue was a bullshit move. Scorsese would never have done that, nor would Coppola. A real filmmaker would have presented it whole and told Mirimax to fuck off.
For those of you who like old school tech, this is really interesting about the old ultra panavision lenses they used for Hateful 8. Its only the 11th movie ever shot in the format. Much cooler than cgi/green screen star wars shit IMO
1. I concur heartily with Mr. Tarantino, his anger is completly understandible.
2. Not a big fan of his Reggie movies, haven't seen Djagno Unchained, only recently saw Jackie Brown (looked like an ad for the Del Amo Fashion Center Mall which is a half mile from where I''m sitting), not really interested in "The Hateful Eight". We get it Quentin, you wish you were black.
3. He should channel his artistic anger / energy into something Disney hates ... like "The Air Pirates" movie. Maybe a "Fuck You Disney" scene tacked onto the end of the hateful eight. Make a fag nazi villain called Iger.
I wouldn't consider myself a die hard fan but I've never watched one of his movies and not been entertained. Star Wars will probably be entertaining as well but based on previous block busters they don't hold up over additional viewings. Tarantino's fims do for me.
