Wesley Amy of Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, offered to award the teenagers better marks in exchange for the explicit photographs. Amy, 28, was a State College Area High School teacher when he was charged in November 2014 with corruption of minors. Three girls testified that Amy encouraged them to cut classes and send him photos in return for grades they didn't earn. WJAC 6 News Wesley Amy (right) was found guilty of giving good grades to girls who sent him nude photos of themselves. “You can get an A or B, but you have to motivate me to give you that grade,” he said in a message to one of the students. Centre County District Attorney Stacy Parks Miller praised the trio for having the bravery to take the stand to testify against Amy in difficult circumstances. “It’s unfortunate that they have to testify, but when they do, you are seeing amazing stuff,” she told WJACTV.com. WJAC 6 News Amy was a teacher at State College High School in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania. “Children should feel safe at school. These girls were very brave for speaking out and for testifying. “We will seek an appropriate sentence for this egregious breach of trust by a teacher who was entrusted with our children.” Amy will be sentenced Dec. 10, and is also required by state law to register as a sex offender for the next 25 years.
